I have had a few people get lucky and were able to find a Wii for cost or just a little over cost in their local newspaper. Also there are many websites that have lists of classified ads. The most popular of which is Craigs List. Although you may see many listed, there are also millions of people that use these sites so you may find that they are already sold by the time the person gets back to you. It is definitely worth a try though!
The way I got my Wii was through eBay. I would definitely recommend the site if you want your Wii now. The selection is great. The only thing I would be careful about would be paying too much. So check your budget and watch the auctions carefully. The real draw back is that after you win it may take a couple weeks to get your system. Check out eBay though, it's definitely worth it if you have the patience.
It can get frustrating looking for a Wii. It may seem impossible lately, but with patience and the right resources it is possible!
